Story for Madina

Madina’s Story

Twenty-one years ago, Madina walked through the doors of Hyatt Regency Denver for the first time. Today, she has returned with a vision of her own.

Madina came to the United States as a refugee with hopes of building a new life. Her journey to America had already taken her and her family across borders and cultures—from Türkiye to Uzbekistan, then Russia, and eventually to the United States. Each new place meant adapting, starting again, learning a new language and continuing forward despite uncertainty.

When she arrived in Denver, Madina barely spoke English. She found her first opportunity at Hyatt Regency Denver, working as a housekeeper. What began as a job became the start of a career in hospitality. Through determination, hard work, and a genuine instinct for caring for others, she continued to grow at the hotel, eventually moving into a leadership role.

Then COVID changed the hospitality industry—and Madina’s path along with it.

She decided to use that moment of change to pursue something she had been passionate about for years: skincare and wellness. Madina became a licensed esthetician and immersed herself in the world of skincare, developing her expertise and discovering another way to do what had always come naturally to her—helping people feel cared for.

Still, Hyatt Regency Denver always felt like home.

Eventually, Madina saw an opportunity to bring the two chapters of her life together. She envisioned a wellness experience inside the hotel that would combine the warmth and hospitality she had spent years cultivating with her new passion for skincare and personal wellness.


That vision became Spa Juniper.

More Than a Spa, A Place to Belong

Today, Spa Juniper welcomes Denver locals and visitors alike into a relaxing retreat above the energy of downtown. Whether someone lives a few blocks away, works downtown, is attending a convention, or is staying at the Hyatt, Madina wants the spa to feel like a place they can return to, not simply a hotel amenity, but a trusted part of their wellness routine.

From personalized massage and restorative facials to thoughtful skincare, Spa Juniper was created as a place to step away from the pace of everyday life, slow down, and be genuinely cared for.

For Madina, Spa Juniper is more than a business. It represents a journey that has required her to begin again more than once—from country to country, from a new arrival learning English to a hospitality leader, and from esthetician to entrepreneur.

More than two decades after beginning at Hyatt Regency Denver as a housekeeper, Madina is once again welcoming people through the hotel doors—this time into a space she dreamed of and built, with an open invitation to the Denver community she now calls home.
